A Renault cargo truck with registration number GT 6915 was fully loaded with bags of cement and took off from Accra, heading to Dambai.
When the driver of the Renault cargo truck got to Asikuma-Kpeve highway at Peki Avetile, it crashed into a Mercedes-Benz bus with registration number GR 1967 F.
Due to the pressure, the Renault cargo truck veered off the road and crash into a provision shop.
A passenger was on board the Renault truck whiles the Mercedes-Benz bus was fully loaded with passengers and foodstuffs.
After the crash, the driver and the passengers on board the Mercedes-Benz bus lost their lives at that spot whiles the others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The police confirmed the death of the driver and the three (3) passengers.
The dead bodies have been deposited in the morgue and the injured people were quickly rushed to Peki Government Hospital for treatment.
This incident occurred on Monday, 14th March 2022 at Peki in the Volta Region of Ghana.
